Researchers at Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania are conducting studies on factors contributing to eating disorders.

If you are over 18years old, are thin because of large weight losses, engage in binge eating, or both, and are seeking treatment or are in outpatient treatment, you may be eligible to participate in one of these studies.

Eligible participants must be willing to attend four to five visits over six months in University City, Philadelphia. Participation involves clinical interviews, completing questionnaires, and a blood draw. Depending on which study you participate in, you may also complete daily symptom recordings, a body scan, an fMRI scan, or an assessment of resting metabolic rate.

Participants will be financially compensated up to $500.

Approved by the Drexel University’s Human Research Protection Program.
Supported by the National Institute of Mental Health.
