LOCAL ANN ARBOR DRIVERS NEEDED FOR PAID RESEARCH STUDY ON CONNECTED VEHICLES

The University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) is continuing our research on wireless vehicle-to-vehicle communication, and thus we intend to maintain and grow a fleet of vehicles with the wireless equipment on-board around the city of Ann Arbor.

If you qualify, you can be a part of cutting-edge automobile safety research that may change the way people drive forever.

Who can participate: 18 years of age or older Vehicle Owner Must be a local Ann Arbor driver

What is involved: As a participant in the Ann Arbor Connected Vehicle Test Environment (AACVTE), you will be asked to come to UMTRI for an initial visit where you will be informed of the details of your participation, and if you are still interested, have some equipment installed on your vehicle. This visit will take 60-90 minutes. After that, you will be asked to return to UMTRI once at the end of the 1-year period to allow us to check the equipment on-board the vehicle and to download the collected data. This visit will take about 30 minutes. It is likely after 1 year we will offer you the opportunity to continue with the program.

Compensation: You will earn $40.00 for your 1-year participation.

Additional information: To express interest in participation in this study, and for more information, please contact the research team at: connectedvehicle@umich.edu or leave a message on the Connected Vehicle Line 734-9361088.
