MicroWorkers.com

By | September 8, 2014

This weekend I signed up for MicroWorkers.com task site.  So far so good!!!  It certainly isn’t Amazon Turk? but there are times I exhaust all available work on Amazon and I simply need more : )

The tasks offered are quite simple ranging from joining newsletters, websites or writing comments and reviews. Some surveys/studies.. but for the most part it is basically a micro version of Amazon Turk with an average pay of about $.50 a task and generally they take about 5 minutes to complete. This is a fair hourly wage for online work of this nature so I will devote some time to the site throughout September and share my results with everyone.

It will take a few weeks for me to feel comfortable with the platform and it will also be interesting to see how fair the requesters are? but most importantly will I get paid!  I made $10 for 2 hours work but I expect the hourly rate to increase a bit as I get more comfortable- so far? I have been approved for $2.5

More to come!   If you try them? be mindful that there are a LOT of sites with similar names!  Make certain you are signing up for http://www.microworkers.com

I look forward to reading about your experiences. I’m going to check out the site as well. Thanks for mentioning it. I haven’t heard of it before.

I got a better taste of Microworkers today Ashely- unfortunately there is a lot of junk on the site.. Ill spend a few weeks seeking the quality tasks and see if its worth the effort. What amazes me is how everything falls so short of Amazon Turk- these other sites don’t even come close..
I find a good number of the tasks are dead ends which kills your hourly earnings potential. Also they are getting free page views and some exposure which always makes me feel burnt! . Screening based on ‘Best Rating’ seems to help a bit.. Youtube commenting is quick and painless.. Game signups..

For now I am just going to use it in my spare time and see if its worth the effort in hopes of finding another source of $100 a month. Next question is- will they pay? 🙂

    Amazon spoiled me…

    That’s not a bad thing Linda : )

Hey- just a quick update on Microworkers? Although some of the offers and tasks are somewhat unusual and scammy looking? Every task I did has paid and so for now I will keep at it and see how it works out over the next few months. Clearly worth keeping this one for slow days even if its just an extra $50-100 a month. I need it and I will gladly take it. The tasks are rather simple so as long as they pay? That is the bottom line 🙂

Remember- don’t use your primary email address for offers that require email verification. Set up a second account for this purpose. You WILL be spammed by most of these offers you fill out..
